Bottega Louie - L.A.

ROASTED BEETS WITH GOAT CHEESE

CHICKEN PARMESAN:Breaded chicken breast, pomodoro sauce, mozzarella & Reggiano parmesan. &FRIED CALAMARI

freshly baked breads

very classic interiors

We were not incredibly hungry when we decided to eat at Bottega Louie, it was how it appeared from outside with its large classical windows and high ceilings with strikingly white interiors what grabbed our attention and spurred us on to try it! So, we decided to drive back after checking out Frank Gehry's Walt Disney Concert Hall in down town Los Angeles which was nearby.
As it appeared, the place had been open for only 3 weeks or so at the time; So we were excited to try out something new to us and the city! any hoo... lets get to the food..!!
well, would i go back?.....
mmm maybe, and by maybe i mean.... No!
but, was the food bad?
well, .....No! and by no i mean maybe!

one thing though worth mentioning is that the "PORTOBELLO FRIES", which are mushrooms btw; were the highlight of what we had!

generally, it was an alright experience... check out more of Bottega Louie on their blog!

Mad for Garlic !

Garlic chandelier

Garlic Chicken
Horrendous!
and most traumatizing experience i've had in a very long time!
I found this Korean/Italian restaurant (i know, odd combo!) In the Indonesian capital Jakarta! I learned this the hard way, apparently they were not taking garlic lightly in the aptly named restaurant Mad for Garlic!
The pungent garlic qualities were evident in every bite and smell !! i won't recommend this place for any reason, unless it was for pranks!!
