Peru !

trucha encebollada
This was a pleasant un planned for lunch in San Fransisco's Peruvian restaurant Fresca on Fillmore Street. My wife and I noticed it while shopping on Fillmore and decided to try Peruvian cooking for the first time! I had the trucha encebollada (seen above) which is a skillet roasted rainbow trout topped with caramelized prawns, onions, tomatoes and cilantro. it was quite light and tangy which is good, but it wouldn't satisfy someone with a big appetite like me! prices were very reasonable.
What i really wanted to try was the salmon dish (seen below) which unfortunately was only offered for dinner!
salmón
honey mustard glazed organic salmon, squid ink rice, andean corn, rocoto aioli, dill chimichuri.
